This assisgnment was to design and build a moustache for a historical person. I chose to create a Dali moustache because I wanted to make something unique and fantastical, while still being based in reality. I ventilated with human hair; mostly black with some white and brown mixed in for dimension. I cut the piece to encourage the hair to move outward, and styled with lots of gel. T-pins held the moustache in place while the gel dried to cement the moustache into Dali’s signature look.
