Choreographer: Kaori Kenmotsu
Costume Design: Clara Cavins-Wolford

These costumes were designed for the spring dance concert at Hamline, as part of a costume design course. The piece was inspired by the story of a woman who had gone through a miscarriage, and explored themes of loss. I chose prints to give the clothing texture, almost like the grainy image in an ultrasound. I used a color palette based in earth tones that would seem like an extension of the dancers skin. My overall goal was to create a soft, ethereal world for the dancers to exist in.
