This devised adaptation of The Oresteia called for the full ensemble of women to embody Athena. These costumes were designed to evoke giant sculptural flowers, and easily be added and removed to the actor’s other costumes. We scultped the forms from craft paper, and then strategically cut the paper apart to create the pattern. Wire and crinoline were used to hold the garments shape.
